Offline voice typing !! (Jelly Bean)

Unknown | 7:01 PM | 1 Comment so far

One of the big improvements in Jelly Bean was the ability to let your phone or tablet convert your speech to text.
Phones have done that for a while now, but it generally meant sending your input over the air, doing the decoding in the cloud, and showing the result on your device.
Android can now do the text generation itself -- which makes it a speedier process, and possible even without an Internet connection.
Head over to "Language and Input" in the Settings app, then choose "Download offline speech recognition" under the "Voice Search" heading.
You'll be prompted to download a language pack for each language you want Android to recognize; once that's done you'll be able to dictate text even if Google's servers go down or you've got poor reception.

Default equalizer for Andriod !! (Jelly Bean)

Default Equalizer for Android.
Android's built-in Music app is pretty capable -- and for Jelly Bean users (both 4.1 and 4.2), you'll find the ability to equalize your music has been baked right in. Once you're playing a song, hit the three dots in the upper-right corner and select "Equalizer." You'll be able to select from presets such as "Folk" and "Heavy Metal," and you can even drag the five sliders yourself to fine-tune based on what you're listening to at the moment.
Down below are extra controls: drag to adjust the amount of bass boost applied.
There’s also a "3-D effect," some software processing that makes the music sound a little deeper. Those options are only available when headphones are plugged in, since they wouldn't make much of a difference to the sound quality of your phone's built-in speaker.

1. Speed Up Your Startup

If an entire pot of coffee can brew in the time it takes for your computer to boot, it’s time to make some changes. Most likely your computer is not slow – it’s the dozens of programs turning on during startup that are slowing it down.
Download a comprehensive tool like Autoruns to easily disable certain programs during your startup. Or try Windows’ slightly less thorough, built-in utility,MSConfig. To find it, go to Search or Run under Start and type “msconfig.” Under the “Startup” tab, uncheck the boxes of the programs you don’t need to run every time your computer is turned on, for instance, iTunes or your printer. If you don’t recognize a program, leave it be. Restart your computer and watch it fly.

2. Clear It Out

If painfully slow surfing is your main problem, there are a couple quick changes you can make.
Are you an Internet Explorer user? Get rid of it. Google Chrome is the best browser on the market now, known for speedy surfing. Under Chrome, go to Clear Browsing Data and check the boxes of temporary Internet files like cookies, cache, download history and browsing history.
To take further precaution, try a program like CCleaner from Piriform. The free software program removes temporary files from all of your browsers, as well as Windows and the registry, to make your PC run faster.

3. Slim Down

This involves more than just uninstalling programs you don’t use anymore. If you’re not totally committed to the usual suspects, like Windows Media Player and Microsoft Office, switch to something that requires less computing power. Free applications can easily replace go-to programs, while speeding up your PC and giving you additional features at the same time.
VLC Media Player is a lightweight, open source media player that rips DVDs, streams video and recognizes any unprotected media format. FoxIt Reader, an alternative to Adobe Reader, does more than just open PDFs all while using less RAM. Edit documents, open multiple PDFs in tabs and more. AbiWord, a free and open source word processor, and Apache’s Open Office, a free and open source full-fledge suite, can easily fill the void of Microsoft Office.

4. Automate Your Updates

Updates are annoying. It’s easy to click “remind me later” and avoid the notifications, until you’re so frustrated with your computer that you finally set aside an entire afternoon to update everything.
Let’s solve this. Go to My Computer > Properties > Automatic Updates. Make sure this is set to Download and Install Automatically. To completely cover your bases, find out if any programs need to be updated manually by downloadingUpdate Checker from FileHippo.com. The fast and free program scans your computer and reports back with any available updates in seconds.

5. Make Some Upgrades

If you’re into gaming, a $150 investment in a graphics card might be worth your while. Forewarning: You’ll have to toy with your motherboard to make this upgrade happen, but there are a lot of online tutorials you can follow.
Finally, the most effective way to speed up your PC – which also requires tinkering – is to add more RAM (random access memory). You can find 4GB of memory for under $50 online. If you have less than 2GB (go to My Computer > Properties to find out), an upgrade should be in your future.

Transfer Files Using adb [GUIDE]

Jugnu Swarnkar | 11:47 AM | | Be the first to comment!
Why, we should use adb ?

Some devices, like the Galaxy Nexus and the HP Touchpad* (via the custom Android ROMs) don’t
expose themselves as USB storage devices. They instead use MTP or PTP to transfer media files (limiting to only photos and audio/video files being shown from the device). This happens due to there being no separate sdcard on these devices, and ‘unplugging’ an sdcard from a running device to be exposed to the connected computer could cause running apps on the device itself to malfunction.

How to use adb ?

You need -
-MTP device
-A pc
-Adb drivers (Link for samsung MTP/ADB devices)
-Adb.zip (Get Here)
-Usb cabel
Its very easy (without any software)
-Unzip adb.zip.
-Put the folder into C drive.
-Install drivers for your device.
-Open command prompt.
-Type cd "adress of adb"
To copy a file from the computer to an android device connected via usb, use this in command prompt-

adb push /path/to/local/file /mnt/sdcard/path/to/file

This will copy the local file to the device in the specified location.
To copy files from device to pc. It will place the file in the folder of adb.

adb pull /mnt/sdcard/"file name with ext."

Convert Un-resumable Download Links To Resumable Downloads !!

Unknown | 8:51 PM | 1 Comment so far
The only reason many people use Torrent is that they are afraid that their download may fail in spite of the low speed it has got. And the main problem is that they don't wanna take chances with their download. If you too are facing that problem then you're saved. I have got a method which lets you download files directly from an FTP server - a fully resumable! In this method you can get files from most of the file sharing networks directly and also you can use it to keep a backup of your site and store files online as well. But you wouldn't actually be getting the file from that particular file sharing network, the file that you want to download will first be grabbed by a separate site to their server and then you can direct download that file from that server to your own computer. The server that is going to grab your files for you has a pretty decent internet speed, so you don't have to worry about the process taking time. So, let's start .

Go to https://www.adrive.com/login/signup

There are different plans available. Besides the Basic plan other cost money. So, on the drop down list saying "Please select your plan", choose "Basic - Free". The basic plan gives you the ability to store 50 GB worth of files on their server. That is plenty, in my opinion. Even if you run out of space, you can always delete the earlier files to make space for the new ones. Enter the required information on the SignUp page and validate your account.

Now, get the link of the file you want to download. Remember, the link should contain the address of the file including the extension. Though you can do this on megaupload files, but this doesn't work for every file sharing sites since many redirect you to an html page or do not show the actual link of the files.

Login to your adrive account and click on Transfer Remote File.

Enter the link of the file in the empty field and click on Retrieve.

Let it complete. It won’t take much time. An 800 MB file normally takes around 8-10 minutes to get downloaded by the server. Don't close the window or browser while the server is grabbing the file.

After the transfer is complete, you’ll be redirected to the file manager.

Right click on your file, you'll see similar stuff on your screen :

Now click on Download to begin downloading.

The download can be paused and resumed. But, if you try to pause it for a longer period and try resuming again, it might not resume. So, you need to have Internet Download Manager (IDM) installed on your computer and I guess many of you are already using it. With this software, you'll be able to resume at any time. Else you can get it from here (Free): http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com

Install the program. Remember to install the browser extension as well or it won't work. Web-browser extension is automatically installed while installing the program. This software will download the files from adrive after you click on the “download” button.

Let us suppose you paused your download for a longer time. You'll see something similar to the following picture, if you try resuming after pausing for a long time on IDM.

All you've got to do now is right click on the particular file and click on the Refresh download address.

IDM will then show a notification. Don't click on stop waiting. Leave it like that.

Head over to your adrive account. Right click on that particular file to resume and click on Download. Again a box will pop out notification.

Press on Ok. Then right click on the file and click on Resume download and it will resume.

That's it. You can transfer backups of your site, files, softwares or anything else on adrive and direct -download it later easily.

Involvement of Microsoft In NSA Surveillance !!

Unknown | 10:22 AM | Be the first to comment!
Edward Snowden is not a new name to us. He was the person behind  The NSA Surveillance Program Leak. According to secret documents provided by him it has been exposed that Microsoft worked hand-in-hand with the United States government and handed the NSA access to encrypted messages and built a series of backdoors into Outlook.com, Skype, and SkyDrive to ease difficulties in accessing online communications. It has also come to knowledge that over the last three years, Microsoft has reportedly assisted the FBI and NSA in encryption by passing its products' encryption that would otherwise prevent the interception of web chats, emails, and user data.

The documents obtained by The Guardian show that

  • Microsoft helped the NSA to circumvent its encryption to address concerns that the agency would be unable to intercept web chats on the new Outlook.com portal.
  • The agency already had pre-encryption stage access to email on Outlook.com, including Hotmail.
  • The company worked with the FBI this year to allow the NSA easier access via Prism to its cloud storage service SkyDrive, which now has more than 250 million users worldwide.
  • Microsoft also worked with the FBI's Data Intercept Unit to "understand" potential issues with a feature on Outlook.com that allows users to create email aliases.
  • Skype, which was bought by Microsoft in October 2011, worked with intelligence agencies that allowed Prism to collect video of conversations as well as audio.
  • Material collected through Prism is routinely shared with the FBI and CIA, with one NSA document describing the program as a "team sport".

With all of the recent revelations about NSA surveillance, news of Microsoft's involvement shouldn't come as a huge surprise. The United States government has since indicted Snowden under the Espionage Act, and he has requested asylum from no fewer than 20 foreign nations. And finally it ended with the acceptance of the request by Venezuela which is sure to create some coldness between the USA  and Venezuela.

And finally it ended with the acceptance of the request by Venezuela which is sure to create some coldness between the USA  and Venezuela.
